The Solar LED Light after 2 years

The Solar LED Light after 2 years, don’t waste your money

I bought this solar sensor light 2 years ago and this is a follow-up video of how it performed and whether I can recommend it.

You can find my original experiments and quick review in the video description as well as pinned comment in the video above.

After 2 years, the tiny solar panel has an oxidation layer on top because of the sun. I had worries about the housing being destroyed by the sun, but I was wrong.

The housing is in great shape. The light array at the bottom also has a yellowish tint. Again, this is an oxidation layer because of the sun’s UV rays. At the back there’s some surface rust on the screws that cannot prevent the removal of the screws.

The battery and inner components are in great shape but how does it perform after two years? Well, it barely lights up for 10 minutes and at a very low brightness. This is the same light that used to last around 4 to 6 hours. Right now, I can only get 10 minutes of dim light even after the unit has been out in the sunshine for like 6 straight hours.

My final verdict is this. Don’t by this or similar gadgets. Don’t waste your money.
