The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO and the Redmi 12 PRO are two competing smartphones in the market right now. The price of these two smartphones range between KES 33,500 to KES 39,000 as they all come in different RAM and ROM varieties. These two smartphones share some few specs like the 108MP Main Camera Lens. They do also have some unique features different from each other. The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO is one of the few first Infinix smartphones to support wireless charging while the Redmi 12 PRO only supports wired charging.
So, what is powering these smartphones? The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset (an octa-core processor with up to 2.4GHz CPU Speed) which is more powerful and faster while the Redmi 12 PRO is powered by a Snapdragon 732G (an octa-core processor with up to 2.2GHz CPU Speed).
The biggest different specification on these two smartphones is that the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO runs on Android 13 while the Redmi 12 PRO runs on Android 11.
In this article I will highlight the differences and similarities between the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO and the Redmi 12 PRO. The price comparison is at the end of this article. But first let’s take a look at both of these smartphones separately.
Infinix NOTE 30 PRO
The Infinix NOTE 30 has a 6.78’’/172.2mm FHD+ AMOLED Screen with a resolution of 1080*2460 and 120Hz Refresh Rate. It also has a peak brightness of 900 nits so you can comfortably use it in outdoor sunny conditions.
The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (Helio G99) chipset with up to 2.4GHz CPU Speed with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
At the top of the phone is 32MP Selfie Camera housed in a punch hole cutout with Flash. On the other hand, the Redmi 12 PRO has a 16MP Selfie Camera. The maximum video quality is 1080p @ 30fps for the Selfie Camera. At the back of the phone is a 108MP Master Tripple Camera. A 108MP sensor being the main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens and finally a QVGA sensor. The Rear Camera can record a maximum video quality of 2K @30fps which is lower compared to the Redmi 12 PRO with a maximum video quality of 4K @ 30fps.
The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO has a 5000mAh battery capacity same as the Redmi 12 PRO. To fully charge the drained 5000mAh battery, inside the box you’ll find a 68W Wired Hyper Charge and a 15W Wireless Charger which are both an advantage to the Redmi 12 PRO which only has a 67W Wired Charger.
The Infinix NOTE 30 PRO comes with different RAM and ROM variations, that is 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM. Both RAM and ROM variations feature RAM expansion which will use part of the internal storage.
The Infinix NOTE 30 employs the side fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button. This is also the same for the Redmi 12 PRO.
Another perfect advantage of the Infinix NOTE 30 is that it has Dual Speakers with sound by JBL and Hi-Res. This is quite a good sound system on this smartphone. The Redmi 12 PRO only has a Mono Speaker.

Redmi 12 PRO
The Redmi 12 PRO has a 6.67’’ FHD+ AMOLED Screen with a resolution of 2400*1080 with 120Hz Refresh Rate. It has a peak brightness of 900 nits. The Redmi 12 PRO is powered up by a Snapdragon 732G an octa-core processor with up to 2.2GHz CPU Speed and a Qualcomm® Adreno™ 618 GPU. The CPU Speed is quite low compared to the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO with up to 2.4GHz CPU speed.
At the top of the phone is a 16MP Selfie Camera housed in a punch hole cutout. The maximum video quality is 1080p @ 30fps.
At the back of the phone is a 108MP Quad Camera setup. A 108MP wide camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera and finally a 2MP depth camera. On the other hand, the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO has triple camera setup. The maximum recording video quality is 4K@30fps which is a high spec compared to Infinix NOTE 30’s maximum quality of 2K@30fps.
The Redmi 12 PRO has a 5000mAh battery capacity same as the Infnix NOTE 30 PRO. The Redmi NOTE 12 PRO has a 67W Wired Charger while the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO comes with a 68W Wired Charger and 15W Wireless Charger which the Redmi 12 PRO does not support.
The Redmi 12 PRO comes with more RAM and ROM variations, that is 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB. Unfortunately, the Redmi does not feature memory expansion feature which is a disadvantage to the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO memory expansion feature.
The Redmi 12 PRO employs the same side fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button as the Infinix NOTE 30. This is an advantage to both phones as just one seamless motion will get you in to your phone.

Conclusion
In the comparison table above, it can be seen that the Infinix NOTE 30 PRO has exceled in a more powerful processor, faster 68W wired charge and supports 15W wireless charging.
On the other hand, even though the Redmi is not powered by a more powerful processor, it can record a maximum video quality of 4K @30fps while the Infnix NOTE PRO records at 2K @30fps.
