Check and verify if the Android TV Brand you want to buy runs on genuine Android TV software with Google Chromecast built in. Do not be duped. In this video I checked three TV brands: Infinix 43 Inch Smart TV, Xiaomi Mi Stick and HIFNIT 32 Inch Smart TV. It’s a very easy and fast process.

Process

This is how you check if your TV or streaming device brand actually runs on genuine Android TV software with Chromecast built in.

Android TV Global partners
Android TV Global partners

Go to android.com/tv and scroll all the way down over until you see the Android TV global partners. You will first of all see some of the big partners. These include brands like Sony, Xiaomi, Hisense and Skyworth.

If the brand you’re looking for is not among the top brands just select see Android TV global partners.

In the video above I verified that my Infinix Smart TV, Xiaomi MiTV stick and Syinix Smart TV’s are among the global partners. This means that they all run on genuine Android TV software.

Only one TV brand that I was checking for failed the test and that was the HIFNIT TV brand that I came across on Jumia Kenya. So, that means that you should buy this TV with a pinch of salt. This means don’t believe that it runs on genuine Android TV. It could be a Fake Android TV. Take care before you buy.

Google TV

Google TV is a new Smart TV experience that also runs on Android TV operating system. At the moment there’s not an equivalent list of all Google TV brand partners that use Google TV, but you can use the Android TV process to do the same.
